A deadly shooting unfolded at a high school and in its surrounding area in the western Canadian province of British Columbia.
Authorities confirmed that six bodies were found inside the school building. One injured victim died while being transported to the hospital, and two additional victims were discovered in other parts of the neighborhood.
Police stated that the suspect was found dead inside the school and is believed to have taken their own life.
Of the 25 people injured in the attack, several remain in critical condition.
Residents in the area were instructed to shelter in place as emergency response operations continued.
