Speaking to Iranian state television, Khatami made statements on the occasion of the funeral ceremony held for Khamenei.
Khatami, “This martyrdom has undoubtedly strengthened our will. The enemies of the Iranian people, the murderer USA and Israel, should know that we will avenge our martyr Imam (Khamenei) and all our martyrs.”he said
Iran’s former leader Khamenei lost his life in the attack launched by the USA and Israel on February 28.
A state ceremony is being held for Khamenei in Tehran. After the ceremonies that will last about a week, Khamenei will be buried in Mashhad on July 9.
