Spotify is taking a new step to bring its OpenAI-powered personal DJ feature to more users around the world. Premium subscribers can now access this experience in countries such as Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, South Korea and Switzerland.
With this expansion, the total number of markets where the feature can be used has increased to over 75. The company announced that this number was in 50 countries as of August 2023.
New Language Options and Voices
Spotify offers four new language options for its DJ feature. French, German, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese now join the supported languages.

Each new language added welcomes users with its own unique tone of voice. In this way, users in different regions have the opportunity to experience a personalized music experience in their native language.
Personalized Music Experience
The DJ feature creates a song selection by analyzing the user’s past listening habits. This system brings together frequently listened to tracks, as well as old favorites and new releases that may be of interest to the user.

Users can ask the DJ to create a custom radio station based on a specific artist, genre, mood or activity. Generative AItechnology enriches the experience by providing contextual information about the tracks listened to through the DJ’s voice narration.
This feature goes beyond just creating a playlist and offers a structure that guides users. What do you think about this new update from Spotify?
